Jani Lane was found dead in Los Angeles on Thursday night. The 80's hair band rock idol was only 47-years-old. Lane was found and pronounced dead by the fire department, who were responding to a call at the Woodland Hills Comfort Inn hotel just before 5:30 p.m.
No cause of death has been released yet, and the case was handed over to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.

Lane is survived by four children, Taylar, Brittany, Madison and Ryan, from two previous marriages.
According to his Twitter account, his third wife is named Kimberly.
Lane joined hair metal band Warrant in 1984 and wrote the group biggest hits, including "Heaven," "Down Boys" and "Cherry Pie."
He quit and returned to the band numerous times finally leaving for good in 2008.
In 2005, the then-overweight singer appeared on season 2 of Celebrity Fit Club.
Last summer, he toured with the band Great White, filling in for lead singer Jack Russell.
The blond crooner had a history of struggles with alcohol; just last year, he was ordered to serve 120 days in jail following his second DUI arrest.
